Planning for what you would do in a disaster can make a big difference when the unexpected happens. Planning ahead is especially important for those who may face additional challenges in our community.

Council is excited to introduce the Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) program to the Northern Beaches.

The program is designed to support people who face additional risks during emergencies including seniors, people with disabilities and multicultural communities by helping them create tailored personal emergency plans that address their needs. This approach builds on people’s strengths, capabilities and networks to develop a plan for how they will manage in an emergency situation.

The program was co-designed and tested with people with disability by the University of Sydney. You can find out more on their website

Online Information Sessions

We'll be sharing information on what P-CEP is and how you can be involved, including opportunities to train as P-CEP facilitators and for individuals to start developing their own P-CEP plan.
