Is the event accessible?

Is the event ticketed?
No, this is a free event and does not require a ticket to attend.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Your dog is welcome to visit most of our park locations with you on-leash. There are however some places where dogs are not allowed, please look out for the signs. Not everyone is comfortable around dogs and our public spaces should be safe and comfortable for everyone. Always ensure your dog's behaviour does not disrupt others enjoyment.
Can I bring alcohol to the event?
Council Parks and Open Spaces have alcohol restrictions in place. Having opened containers of alcohol at our World Food Markets venues is banned between 8pm to 8am. Please note this is also a glass free event as we are picnicking on sporting fields.
Can I bring my own food to the event?
Yes, this picnic-style event welcomes you to enjoy the atmosphere with your community even if not purchasing from one of the multicultural food trucks available.

Will there be water onsite?
There will be water stations available for you to refill and refresh. Please bring your own water bottle.
Please note food vendors will not be selling bottled water onsite.
What chairs am I allowed to bring?
There will be limited picnic furniture and plenty of surrounding space for ground seating if you wish to bring your own picnic rug or low lying chair with bar legs. No camping chairs.
Can I bring my pram to the event?
Yes, you can bring your pram and you may keep your pram with you at all times.
What should I wear/bring?
Here are our recommendations to have the perfect evening:
- Protect yourself with a hat/sunscreen before sunset
- It can be chilly once the sun goes down! Be prepared and pack a jumper, layer up and/or bring a blanket to ensure you have a cosy night
- If it’s been a bit wet, we encourage you to bring something to keep dry. Lined picnic rugs are always a good option when sitting on grass
- Low lying chairs with bar legs and picnic rugs are permitted, no camping chairs.
Can I smoke / vape at the event?
No, our events are smoke free. Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted.
What if it rains?
As this is an outdoor event, we are subject to weather and encourage you to bring wet weather gear (raincoat, ponchos, umbrellas etc.) in case of light rain.
In the event that the World Food Market is cancelled, a notification will be communicated from Northern Beaches Council via the event webpage and social media channels @beachescouncil.
