Balgowlah Community Garden is located behind the children’s playground at 100 Griffiths Street, Balgowlah.
The garden aims to promote healthy exercise, community engagement and the growing and consumption of fruit and vegetables. The day-to-day activities of the garden are overseen by a volunteer management committee comprised of local residents.
Membership fees are $30 (individual) or $60 (family) per year. There are communal garden plots and chickens that all garden members care for and share produce from. In addition, personal garden plots are available from $35 to $95 per year, depending on the size.
This secure site has a fully stocked tool shed and irrigation. Working bees are held on the second Monday and the last Saturday of the month, although check socials for any updates!
