Forestville War Memorial Playing Fields is a multi-use facility (including Melwood Oval).

The fields are numbered as:

• Field 1 and Field 2 - Synthetic fields
• Field 3 - Small grass field
• Netball Courts 1-6
• Field 6 - Rugby field on upper level

Field 3 and Purple Poppy Dog Park (located at the northern end adjacent to Forestville Avenue) are two of Council's Dog Off-leash Areas.

Synthetic Sportsfields

The synthetic sportsfields deliver premier all-weather facilities. 

This first class regional facility caters for most sports including a combination football/Rugby Union field with permanent line marking for both sports, a dedicated football field, a full size AFL field, senior cricket field, Oz-tag, touch football and many other sports. The facility also provides four new cricket nets and a centre cricket wicket that is covered during the winter season.
