Long Reef is home to pretty reliable surf conditions with left and right breaking reefs. The best time to head out is when there’s a howling north-easter which blows across the beach in an offshore wind, making the waves smooth and very rideable.

Parking Information
There is free parking for vehicles displaying Northern Beaches Council parking permits and pay and display is available to purchase for those without a permit. Designated disabled car spaces.
Good swimming and body boarding conditions. Good boardriding from bombora and to the south of the Lagoon. Best in north easterly winds. Good conditions for windsurfing.
