MABC Adult Swim Program
It is never too late to learn! All ages and all levels.
Our Adult Swim Program offers a variety of group class options with distinct levels to help cater for your ability. The program aims to improve your swimming, overall fitness, health, and wellbeing in a friendly, fun and social environment.
Our lessons will introduce you to a range of new skills for you to achieve increased safety, efficiency, and confidence in the water. We have classes to accommodate all abilities, whether you are a non-swimmer, looking to improve technique and fitness, or want to commit to a swim training regime. All three levels of our Adult Program enable you to build stronger habits for efficient swimming.
We encourage commitment and persistence for you to improve your swimming and water safety skills.
Duration: 30-45 minute class depending on numbers in the class

Beginner
This class is designed for a range of beginners from a complete non swimmer to a swimmer wishing to develop basic freestyle with correct breathing techniques. This class level provides you with the fundamentals of water comfort, safety, and survival skills. An introduction to freestyle and skills on your back including floating, kicking and coordinated movement.
Class is taught in the Indoor heated program pool (maximum distance of 17m) with a water depth of 1.25m

Development
The aim of this class is to further develop your Freestyle and Backstroke with drills that work on mastering your breathing and kicking techniques over 25-50 metres at a time. Progressing towards comfortable backstroke and an introduction Breaststroke and Butterfly kicking. The drills and skills provided in this class allows you to work towards improving your lap swimming capabilities.
Class is taught in the Indoor heated 25m pool with a water depth of 1.25m - 1.5m

'FIT' YOU Squads
Our new squads program offers high intensity sessions working on endurance, speed, efficiency, and overall fitness. The sessions allow for 60 minutes of swimming with 10-15 minutes either side for stretching, prehabilitation, training program and individual goal discussion.
Duration: 60-75mins
'FIT' YOU Bronze Squad
Our 'FIT' You Bronze Squad offers an opportunity for you to maintain or further your swimming fitness as well as developing stroke efficiency. Sessions are predominantly Freestyle focused with the option to work on other forms. Swimmers attending this squad will be working on a cycle of 1.50 - 2.10 per 100m Freestyle.
- Swimmers attending these sessions should be able to swim 10 x 100 Freestyle on 1:50 - 2:10 intervals
- Predominantly Freestyle, some form strokes and drills included for training diversity and strength.
- Sessions will include the use of paddles, pull buoy and/or band, and a kickboard. Please bring your own gear if you wish to use any in your sessions
- There is no minimum training sessions required, however we do recommend doing 2-3 session per week
- Minimum age is 16 years old. (Swimmers aged 14-15 can attend with a parent or guardian over the age of 18).

'FIT' YOU Silver Squad
Our 'FIT' You Silver Squad offers high-intensity sessions to maintain and improve swimming fitness and stroke efficiency - whether you are competing in surf or triathlon events or training purely for individual fitness. Sessions are predominantly Freestyle focused with the option to work on other forms. Swimmers attending this squad will be working on a cycle of 1.30 - 1.50 per 100m Freestyle.
- Swimmers attending these sessions should be able to swim 20 x 100 Freestyle on 1:30 - 1:50 intervals
- Predominantly Freestyle with endurance and speed sets, some form strokes and drills included for training diversity and strength.
- Sessions will include the use of paddles, pull buoy and/or band, and a kickboard. Please bring your own gear if you wish to use any in your sessions
- There is no minimum training sessions required, however we do recommend doing 2-3 session per week
- Minimum age is 18 years old
