Saturday, 3 May 2025 - 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm

Join Teresa Biet, founder of Art Incubator; Cassandra Bird, Director of Cassandra Bird Gallery; Orson Heinrich, Art Incubator grant recipient and exhibiting artist for this panel discussion on how the creative sector can better support emerging artists, as part of the Ten-Fold exhibition at Manly Art Gallery & Museum.

We’ll ask arts leaders to examine the impact of innovative funding models, the role of commercial galleries, and the essential role of arts philanthropy in a vibrant creative sector.

The conversation will cover topics central to supporting young artists in their formative years, including the importance of private philanthropy, the ways galleries champion emerging creatives, and the unique models that make arts philanthropy a vital part of artists’ journeys.

Panellists will also reflect on what young artists most need after art school and why investing in early-career artists is crucial.

The event includes welcome drinks, an exclusive exhibition viewing, and the chance to mingle with panellists and fellow attendees after a Q&A session, facilitated by curator Ben Rak.

Come and be part of a conversation that celebrates and shapes the future of Australia’s art community!
