Create colourful beads using flameworking techniques and soft Moretti glass in this foundational glass bead-making workshop. Learn about the tools and equipment used in the glass studio. Create patterns with dots, stringers, and marbles. Practice colour application, shaping, and hot sculpting techniques in a cohesive mix of structured learning with a lecture, demonstration, and practice time. No experience is necessary, beginners to intermediate levels are welcome. The workshop will accommodate up to 3 people with support materials included.

About the facilitator: Mai Oshima, born in Japan and now living in Sydney, has been a glass maker and designer since 2013. Specialising in glass jewellery inspired by the Australian coast, especially the Northern Beaches, she blends her passion for surfing with her art.
