Self-taught mosaic artist Martine Grant’s work centres around breathing new life in forgotten and discarded objects. A continued challenge, some objects have a history, while others are destined for landfill. Taking inspiration from colours, materials, and textures to nourish her imagination and create a new reality, the found objects have a rhythm that seem to float under her fingers, almost meditatively until all the little pieces come together and tell a story or message.
