bulky goods reduced image

Council clean up collections are an opportunity to dispose bulky goods.

They will be compacted, crushed and sent to landfill - so the collection should be a last resort.

How can I reduce what goes to landfill

Mainland households

  • Mainland households that incur the domestic waste management charge can pre-book two free collections within 12 months (subject to availability). The 12 month period commences from the date of your first booking.
If a second booking isn’t made within the twelve month period, the anniversary date resets upon the next booking that is made.
  • If you are a new owner or tenant and have found when trying to book that two bookings have already been made in the last 12 month period, you will need to wait for the anniversary date to access this service again. Please note bookings are assigned to the property (not the resident or owner).
