Beaches says NO to violence

Northern Beaches Council is proud to be an executive member of the Northern Beaches Domestic Violence Network (NBDVN), supporting a series of planned events and initiatives for the 16 Days of Activism from 25 November - 10 December.

NBDVN is collaborative group of individuals and organisations working towards positive change in our community to reduce all forms of violence using 16 days of activism annually to increase awareness in the community.

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign which calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.

Look out for 6 banners across the Beaches featuring the statement ‘Beaches says NO to violence’, together with social media including resources, information about services, and guidance on how to get help. Check out our libraries app where we will be featuring a digital carousel of relevant book titles from our collection.

Council will also be providing local high schools with resources and opportunities to raise awareness, educate students and support local organisations working to prevent domestic violence.
